Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) on Monday appointed Moses Basena and Fred Kajoba as interim coaches for the national football team and the duo have since got underway with duties,naming a 25 man squad to start preperations for the CHAN 2018 qualifier against Rwanda.
The squad which started training on Wednesday August 2 at Mandela National stadium, Namboole has four goalkeepers, eight defenders, eight midfielders and three center forwards. This comes as the Serbian born Tactician and Head coach to Uganda Cranes threw in the towel.
The tactician who cited nonpayment of salaries to the tune of $54,000. Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic was hosted to a farewell party organised by Kawowo Sports on Saturday a few hours after he had confirmed the termination of his employment with football governing body FUFA.
In a tweet, he emotionally addressed his “brothers” (Basena and Kajoba) pledging to pray for them in every step of the way ahead of fresh engagements in his absence.
