MPs to Probe Museveni over Handshake today

Members of Parliament who have been investigating the infamous Shs 6bn presidential handshake are scheduled to meet and extract statements from President Yoweri Museveni  TODAY

The parliamentary committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises started investigating the matter in late January 2017 when Speaker Rebecca Kadaga gave them the mandate on 20th of the same month.

The Committee chaired by the Bugweri County MP, Abdu Katuntu has already met all witnesses involved in the initiating, soliciting and finally disbursing the staggering amount to 42 civil servants who are already on government payroll.

Members of the committee have also already met the foreign lawyers who were hired both by the office of the Attorney General and Uganda Revenue Authority in London.
