Harrison Ford to keep pilot’s licence despite ‘schmuck’ error

Harrison Ford won’t face any penalties for mistakenly landing his single-engine plane on a US airport taxiway.

The US actor, who admitted to air traffic control he’d been a “schmuck”, will retain his pilot’s certificate “without restriction”, his lawyer said.

The incident in February saw Ford fly low over an American Airlines plane with 110 passengers and crew on board at California’s John Wayne airport.

But the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) won’t be taking any action.

Ford is a licensed pilot of both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters
